Leave of Absence

Hi all,

Lately I have been having difficulty with the muscles in my right hand and lower arm, causing me to lose strength at unexpected times, as well as an inability to grip things. Upon consultation with my physician, I have been diagnosed with early-stage RSI, which probably isn't too unexpected for someone like myself who works with computers a fair bit.

As a result, I have been told to take a break from using too much of my computer mouse - lest the condition deteriorates, and I honestly don't like the idea of fully-fledged RSI at my age. So I will be taking an indefinite break from DarkOrbit, if only to let my muscles recover. I will still be on sporadically, when my muscles decide to like me, but certainly no more of my old playing patterns of every night.

I am sorry to hear that Angelic, i hope everything gets better, at least not any worse. I will miss my bmap wingman, at least we had some memorable battles. Take care of yourself, and i hope to see you out there in space now and then. Twisted Evil

I'm not dead just yet. =) I will try to be around at times - though it is difficult to play when you physically can't hold anything, and moving is painful. Enjoy yourselves for me, and we'll see what I can do about this damned arm.

so sry to hear the news angelic.... i wondered why i hadnt seen you on so much.... well il pray for your arm... ya iv got to go to a specialist too for numbness in my fingers ..but i think its somethin pinchin in my neck. hey plz keep msgin us at lest once a week ? as to ya progress or to just to catch up
